let's just face it, we ALL looked like every day was Songkran.
One time i had a member tell me: "when missionaries come here, they're ugly. like you, sister b. you're ugly. but when you go home you won't be ugly anymore."
so now i'm back and i'll admit i look a bit better- but the price to pay is that i can no longer be blunt and tactless. i miss being able to just say it when myself or others looked ugly, fat or otherwise taboo!
sister b you're right- i DO miss just saying it like it is. i miss saying things like "yes, you are fat" or "you have a huge zit on your cheek" or "why do you look so homely?" perhaps it is a small price to pay. my eyebrows were great though. oh how i long for yesterday
