Art, or something like it

I have always liked this picture of the Cardston, Alberta Temple on the day of its dedication in 1923. I borrowed my grandparents' copy and made a copy for myself. I am not easily attracted to most Mormon art as I find a lot of it induldges soft lines and creepy glowing light that, naturally, creeps me out. And Christ always seems to be way too caucasian looking when he was infact a Jew from the Fertile Cresent. But I really do want to have tasteful reminders of the Savior and Temples in my home. These are good things. So, to add to the pass-along-card on our fridge of the SLC Temple, I have added this to our floating shelf.

My copy is a copy of a copy of, I am sure, a copy that had been taped together. It reminds me that nothing and nobody is perfect. I like the smoke stack in the background, I like the automobiles in the foreground- they remind me that real people go here and real people work to go here. The picture does not overinduldge in soft lines or creepy light, so I don't get creeped out having it in my home. This is a good thing.
There is another picture, well print actually, that I really like. My dear friend, Diane, gave me a print of it way back when we were both pent up in a v. small room with lots of smelly/funny boys all trying to learn Thai. From time to time I consider getting a larger copy of it. The piece is a lithograph print which is one of the reasons I like it so much. I really like prints. Lithographs, etchings, silk screens, and also unfinished canvases (not a print).
Do any of you out there have a favorite piece of religious art? Do any of you want a copy of the photograph I posted? If so let me know. xoxo.
