I went to the grocery store the other day. I was probably feeling somewhat bothered because I was thinking about how much milk and cheese we now consume. Or maybe I was thinking of the night I came home from an especially relaxing yoga class, stopping at the grocery store first to pick up a few necessary items and then came home and threw a mini fit about having to buy so much food and how hard it was to carry such awkward items. I don't know. But for some reason, the last time I went into the grocery store I was in a particularly prickley mood and was hence drawn to an especially prickley pineapple. Hawt dang! Eating that pineapple was almost as good as being in Aruba. Let me tell you, next time I want a tropical vacation and all my vacation time is spent, I shall purchase another pineapple, painstakingly chop it up and feel like I cashed in my Airmiles. Pineapple does good things to the soul.
Also about food. Pinto beans. Mmmmmmmmmm. I recently soaked some and then cooked them up all day in the slow cooker with some salt and garlic. My goodness. That legume. It also does something to my soul. The earthly, rich taste lends itself so swimmingly to rice, a wedge of avacodo, sauted onion and carrot, with a dollop of sour cream. Dude, I could eat that every other day without boredom. Sometimes I forget how amazing simple food is.
I shouldn't complain about milk and cheese. After all, I did just search the city far and wide to suprise Dan with a wonderful cheese my friend recently introduced me too. Pops and I were on a crusade for Le Dauphin. No, not the Prince of France, but a cheese that Louis XIV enjoyed so much he allowed it to be named after his son. Anyways, it was great on fresh baguette, and I like food.
For a good laugh go to youtube and search steve carell bruce almighty. I would have put the video here and all but that takes too much time.
