Seriously

Blogger. You are being so dumb right now and not letting me upload any of my precious pictures. I just thought you should know.

So. The visit to Dan was wonderful.... so wonderful, infact I bawled and bawled when I had to leave. In the depths of despair was I, but I think I am doing a little better. Those airport check in people must see lots of red puffy faces is all I have to say. Mine could have perhaps been the most red Clair had ever seen. She seemed extra kind, maybe she took pity.

Pictures. Yes, I shall catalog the trip by pictures once the good lord and the internet will let me. Instead, let me take your time by telling you about the rude awakening I had during this most wonderful of wonderful trips.

Now, I don't mean to boast, but lets be real. I am a street smart woman. We know this. I can do Paris, I can do Bangkok, I can do Ubon, I can do 4 yrs away from my family in another country while going to University- you get the picture. I can set up an apartment, I can take one down. Dan. Oh my sweet sweet husband that I love and can hardly live without (I am trying to right now and it isn't going so hot). For he did not know that you cannot plug a clothes dryer into a regular electrical outlet. Nor did he know that when our Costco membership ran out we could not just use his card instead of mine. This boy, he is endearing like that.

In just 3 short weeks you would not believe how street smart he has become... without me! Oh, it was embarrassing. Like a fish to water he is. While we were at the Nationals game on Labor Day I couldn't handle it any longer and I confessed that I didn't like it. I am the street smart one! Who is this imposture of a husband? Of course, he could not stop laughing and continued to be my expert tour guide for such adventures as the DC Metro and the tour of the monuments. NOT FAIR! Humph. Basically, I need to get down there asap so that I can reclaim my title in this relationship.

Hey Dan, lets see how you do in a country where you don't speak the language! Bring it baby.

2 woot-woots!:

Sorry, babe - not gonna happen. DC is my town, you see. Maybe you can be street smart in Manassas or something, but not in MY town.
