As a birthday present to my very old body, I decided to put myself on a cleanse. Did you know that it is best to cleanse Fall and Spring and preferably before the time changes? Well, it is, and I don't have a link to insert to prove it, but just believe me. Have I ever led you astray?

Anyways, I have done this cleanse 1.33 times in the past. It is wonderful. I wish I would have stuck with it the last time I started it, but no matter, I am making it through this time (I am on day 8!). For those of you who don't know, I am living with my in-laws. They are truly wonderful people, need I mention incredibly kind to let me live with them and turn their lives upside down. I think they like it though. So long story short, I talked my MIL into doing the cleanse with me. So we are cleansing our bile, our livers, and our colons together. And let me tell you, the colon is a doozie! Just this evening I was out running errands on behalf of my iiii father and I had to pull over at the nearest Subway Restaurant. When it hits you, you have no choice but to obey...and quickly. You see, most of the foods you eat on this cleanse (which are plenty and they are delicious) turn alkaline in your tummy which in short means your bowels are very loose, there ain't nothing holding anything together. On my way out of the Subway I got a look from the cashier that could have read as the sign "washroom for paying customers only". Oh well, I am sure I will buy another sub again. In short, cleansing is great and doing it with someone makes it even better/easier. This act comes highly recommended by me.

In other news, I am starting to enjoy oatmeal. But my goodness, why does it have to be so slimy? Bunny says to think of it as "silky", but little bunny sister, it is just plain slimy no matter how I try to disguise it. It doesn't make me gag anymore which is a good thing, I am making progress, and the addition of Stevia is very helpful. Nature, you are amazing for inventing such a plant! I also recommend it to anyone needing a sugar substitute that doesn't want artificial sweetner cancer. I am trying these days to reduce the risk.

I find myself with more energy, feeling sustained between meals, feeling far less bloated, thinking clearly (who'd a thought?!) and really feeling like I am eating as the WofW asks me too.
It has been a really nice experience thus far and I really want make these eating guidelines my long term eating habits.

5 woot-woots!:

I don't think I could do the cleanse - who knows what would be 'purged'...

and BTW, oatmeal is enjoyed by 99.99% of the population of the world. Are you sure it isn't anchovies you're eating? They're slimy. Oatmeal...not so much:)
