Betina kept on worrying that I was bored, or there wasn't enough to do. Not so my sister! It was so relaxing to be in country bumpkin life and to just enjoy the peace and quiet of a small, sleepy town. Living in a pit stop on the side of the highway comes with its perks, mainly good shopping, but also comes at a price. Hello everything pollution. My walks with Jude usually include (part of) a busy busy road that runs perpendicular with Route 7. Yuck. When I left the Spokane airport there was only ONE person in line ahead of me for security! My gate was quiet! And I could have showed up 30 minutes before my flight if I so pleased. I can't even. The Dulles airport is such a zoo I usually break out in a full sweat before my ID even gets checked before the security line. Thanks for the good, relaxing time sister!
The only downer was that on the last day, I was so sad to leave I ended up getting mastitis. Holy breast! Mastitis is no joke. I thank the good lord that Betina's doctor friend was able to help me out on a Sunday night. I had the fever and the chills and it was strange. I haven't felt sick like that in ages and with the wee one in tow, I was so grateful for some modern medicine.
For no good reason I've been thinking about how I always think that most people hang their art and pictures too high. And then I always think again and remember that I am 5 feet tall. But still, walls always look strange to me and I always find myself reminding myself as to why. Also, my little sister just got a new phone. She texted me to call her, so I did, but she didn't answer. Upon her return call she admits that there are too many buttons and she doesn't know how to answer an incoming call. It's the simple things that always make me laugh the hardest.
Well, I think I'm glad to be back, my boob seems to be almost healed but not quite, and here's to hoping my milk supply will be okay.
1 woot-woots!:
Mastitis... BARF!!!!! I was down an out for nearly a week when I had it. Keep feeding that cute boy of yours on your mastitis side. Your supply will bounce back (speaking unfortunately from experience).
