October Surprises

Oh man, I am one nervous wreck over here just waiting for big bad Hurricane Sandy, aka Frankenstorm, to come and gobble us up. But we have LOTS of non-perishable food, water, candles, flash lights and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and a full tank of gas. I think we'll be okay but the thought of no electricity for a week makes me wish I had the resilience of a pioneer. But I don't. The luxuries of the 21st century are too good to pass up. What's that- Electricity? Plumbing? The Wheel? Internet? Modern Medicine? Don't mind if I do!

I know the World Wide Web is going to miss me so much should we have no power so I thought I would post these early.

That's us, The 3 Little Indians, wishing you the happiest of Halloweens! And yes, our son sucks on a pink binky, because, you know, we like to keep people guessing. It's kind of fun. You will have to excuse Dan's tall head. I should have bought taller feathers for him. And I really need to trim my bangs. But anyways. I like to keep Halloween costumes simple, lest I get some crazy idea that leads me to believe I can sew and then through tears and cursing I find out I can't. I try to stay away from those situations, a kind of 'pick your battle' mentality thing. Helps my blood pressure.

And we just really like this face Jude makes. When he gets super happy he does his scrunchy eyes smile and it is so dang cute.

Well.... if the storm takes you all you can rest assured that Jude's 1st Halloween was the best one ever.

But that will not happen, so do not fret. As long as there are pumpkin chocolate chippers available, all will be well.

I wish you had a bbq and our end-of-the-world sized propane tank, then you could just bbq every night and pretend you were camping.

God speed.

Stay safe. You guys looked real cute in your outfits. And if you die, that's the last thing I'll remember about you guys, so that's good right? Seriously though, no electricity for a week.....ugh!

Loved your costumes! And so far the storm hasn't been too bad...weird, I was freaking out too and even did 72hour kits finally. I guess better to be prepared than not!
