Merry last weekend before Christmas! Last night Dan and I watched a Seinfeld episode, The Strike. Yes, that one. The one where Festivus is celebrated. Oh man. Festivus for the rest of us! I wouldn't mind an Airing of Grievances or a Feat of Strength this holiday season. And I have to admit that putting up a nice solid aluminum pole seems like a pretty good idea- no muss no fuss! Instead we opted for the Lowe's $20 fir tree special. All Christmas trees are dead, but this one is like suuuuuper dead. Lots of muss, lots of fuss. Don't look too closely, you may see the mold growing in the water of the stand. Is this bad? Probably, but we are pretty good at keeping Jude away from it (for the most part). You know, tough times, we're on a budget.
I said something funny to Dan today that I wanted to blog about but now I can't think about it. Hmmmmmm. I hate it when I do this.
I can however talk about lunch today. I remember everything that happened. We were just going to run to the bank and come home but then we couldn't help it and decided that we would just bill it to our 'clothing' budget as we are under in that category. And I am SO GLAD we went for lunch! I ran into one of the midwives that did some of my prenatal care. It wasn't Wendy, who delivered Jude, but Courtney who I saw a few times in the office. And she remembered me! I can't explain just how much I love those midwives. I mean, I don't really know them that well, obviously, but I have so much respect for what they do. It was such a great early Christmas present for me. She thought Jude was super cute and asked "is he always this happy?" Yep.
