Birthday Dinner at an old bank, yum!

Another year, another birthday! This time around my gift was spending the morning at the spa. Oh my. Now THAT is how to spend a birthday.

First a very able bodied Frenchman scrubbed me up and down, both dry and wet exfoliation. It was amazing. The whole morning was freaking amazing. It reminded me to stop forgetting to pick up a dry brush for my skin. No more! That dry exfoliation felt so amazing all the way down to my bones. I am pretty sure my liver really enjoyed it too.  And if I could do it myself then I wouldn't have to worry about my left breast exposing itself, #nursingboobs. Oh well. He was french. Boobs are like a dime a dozen in Europe. Then off to the Sauna where I was covered in honey and hit with oak and elm leaves. Yes, it was kind of weird, and yes, I did work extra hard to stifle my laughter. Then back to my Frenchman for a massage and finally a facial. I'm pretty sure that an 'experience' gift is my favorite thing and it is highly recommended, par moi. And bonus, I got to practice my French for the morning as well!

What next... yes Halloween! Jude was the sweetest little scarecrow and Dan and I were crows. It was a good thing that little scare crow got to trick-or-treat at the church party because today he didn't nap and was a complete mess at around 5 o'clock. Or he could have been a mess because I accidentally locked him in the car on the way for $3 Chipotle burritos, but, I'm telling myself it was the no-nap. Right? In case you are wondering though, if you ever lock your kid in the car you should go ahead and dial 9-1-1 instead of AAA or the like. Yes, it's true. And they will show up extra fast, especially if no windows are cracked. Oh I felt HORRIBLE. As long as I made funny faces at him though, he seemed to be happy and content. He only cried once the doors were unlocked but cheered right up when he saw the police and rescue vehicles. TRUCKS!!! Phew. A real life scary Halloween experience... only the best for my kid, I guess.

And now, the apartment complex trick-or-treaters have come and gone and we are finishing the evening with Ghostbusters (Ray gets a BJ from a ghost? missed that one as a kid!). It was a Happy Birthday and a Happy Halloween my friends.

..... lets actually start Love Pudge on Monday. I'll have an email out over the weekend to explain everything. You need at least some time to raid your kids candy :).
