My friend Laura and I have made it our goal to take up tennis this summer. We both suck and have decided that we each have enough patience to put up with the others poor skills. I am very excited about this. Last night was our frist practice. Now, because we are no good we decided to hit the courts a little later in the evening. Perhaps it was a little too late, but I tell you what, playing tennis (or trying to) by the light of a fluorscent store sign can teach you a lot. Last night I learned just how important it is to keep one's eye on the ball because I couldn't see the ball if I did not stare at it intently as it came flying towards my face. I am thinking that for people like me and Laura, glow in the dark tennis balls would be a great invention. I want to make some. I need to patent the idea soon.
My other big goal for the summer is to see just how many boys are going to ask me out for ice cream and a walk around the river. I'm at boy #3 and the same date. Not bad for the end of May. Celeste and I were driving home last night when 3 called me and the conversation went a little like this:
3: "I was thinking it would be nice to get some ice cream and go for a walk by the river"
me: "Ice cream and a walk by the river, well I'd love to..."
celeste: "Ha ha hahahahahahah ha ha ha..."
3: "ummmmmm?"
me: "oh, I've just been going for a lot of ice cream down by the river lately and my sister thinks it's funny"
celeste & me: "hee hee heeheheheee hee"
3: "sounds like a plan"
I have to be very careful on these dates not to get these people mixed up. It's that whole situational memory thing... the geese make me think of this person, that lilac tree another person.... I figure I'll just let the boys do most of the talking as to not get myself into an even bigger pickle than I am in.
So this summer: glow in the dark tennis balls and ice cream by the river. And just a disclaimer; if 1, 2, or 3 ever read this, I really do like our dates.
3 woot-woots!:
look at you go you little hoochie no more being upset about silly boys anymore!(shawn told me how to spell hoochie just in case its spelt incorrectly its his fault!)
hahaha, you are such a playah!!!!!! you go girlfriend. YOu need to insist on some high octane dates though so you can test to see if they can keep up with you:) (eg- rollerblading, skiing, swimming ect).
XOXO
Eve
no high octane do you want to sweat? see what their cooking and cleaning skills consist of!
if they can do laundry latch on and do not let go! also foot rubs and back rubs are a bonus.
so give them a toilet brush and see what they do with it, if you get any blank looks move on!
