Slave Lake excerta excerta excerta

While way up N-o-r-t-h Dan and I got to visit the Water Bombers. They are cool. 9 years ago when I was in high school, I remember them swooping down in front of our house during fire season. Besides all the scary fire and smoke and being on evacuation standby, I always thought it was pretty cool.

Just look at that sexy man!

These orange and red ones swoop down on a body of water and pick up 1200 gallons of water.

This is the mother of all waterbombers. It carries fire retardant in a 3000 gallon capacity. And look, there I am, just getting ready to fly myself all around the world. Perhaps I shall put out a fire or two. The thing I love about small towns is you go take pictures from behind a chainlink fence and all of a sudden you are in the cockpit. F-u-n.

Some sister feet at the beach. It was so warm and beautiful last weekend and it smelt like Boreal Forest the whole time. Insert scratch and sniff here.

Slave Lake. This picture doesn't do it justice.

Wash the dishes with Caden. We stopped at the Inlaws on the way home just in time for some slobbers from the boy who rivals me for cuteness. Maybe we are in different categories... I don't know.

Look at those pipes!

All in all, a v. fun weekend with wonderful weather. I forgot the camera when we went to The Rex Theater, but, boy, it was amazing. If you ever get way up north and want something fun to do, go see a movie there. Cheap thrills for $10 CDN. Bargain. Also- many sisters and a mother were involved in this weekend that I have not captured here. More pictures to come? I xoxo Slave Lake.

The personality has definetly emerged.

I love the SL cockpit photos.

Your hair looks hot. So hot.

Anders looks like Uncle Shaun to me. Anyone else?
