fun, fun, fun!

enough sad things for one week already! now i shall post something happy, as my eight ounce mason jars are busy bubbling away in the fashion of sterilization. yes, i am making jam. strawberry jam. our unfortunate friends happen to be away while their strawberry patch is ripe and heavy with fruit. very unfortunate for them, but they are at disneyland, so i think they will live. dan and i are picking the fruit and watering their newly seeded backyard in their absence. it's fun.

we have been having so much fun around here this past weekend! i shall update you on some more of it, besides the berry parts. we had a visit from my dear friend dana, wherein we took her all over kingdom come in the search of fun, food, and shopping. it was a very busy weekend. in just four days we went to museums, went to b'more for a baseball game at historic camden yard, visited arlington national cemetery, shopped until we dropped (outlet malls, target, tysons corner/galleria...), ate many meals at cafe rio and other such eateries, saw millions of dollars being printed, and did a segway tour of the national mall. phew! and if i do say so myself, segway tours are soooooo muuuucchhh funnnnn! i think i got about as close to the bluth family as i ever will be. it was awesome. the only think i didn't get all weekend was a frozen banana. shucks.
