Wham, Bam, Thank You Ma'am!

So I wanted to find a creative way to start this out... to make it seem like something it was not and then, hello, surprise! Something else! But I am just not that good at that kind of stuff. I tend to be able to get out a few good lines but then I end up right at the punch line. How on earth do people stretch out a good story? I can never seem to get enough meat in the middle of ma' sandwich! Quick, somebody get me some pastrami! Bologne! The breast of a turkey! Sigh, I just have a difficult time stretching out a good story in print. Especially in a way that it can be funny and witty. I can get a few good words in there but how I pine for the ability to get in a few more. Life would be so much more exciting.

So I thought I would go ahead and tell some stories via photograph. Here is story number one.

Exhibit #1

You guys. This truck was totally in the parking lot of ma' grocery store. It features the horns of (I am pretty sure) what used to be a Texas Longhorn. And there are Texas hubcaps! Seriously! I pulled up and just knew I had to take its picture and as soon as I did I heard the little "beep beep" of a fob unlocking the doors! I quickly scuttled away hoping I would not be held up with a texas shotgun, and thank the Good Lord, the dude must not have seen me. And it got even better, when he opened the door, it opened like unto the doors of The DeLorean! Honestly, that vehicle made my day.

Exhibit #2

Exhibit number two clearly illustrates the totally awesome most wonderful Sacagawea Mukluks I scored at no other place than La Goodwill (I have decided that place deserves some sophistication - a french flare perhaps?). Seven Dollars! Yo! Made in the USA, pure leather, never been on no piggies before, perfectly my size! However, when they are all laced up I am afraid people may not take me seriously. Do you see how that could be my greatest fear too? Right? But, I dream of wearing them with a nice fall dress or skirt even, bringing the outfit together with ma' nice brown belt. I have just the dress you know, but, it needs some alterations. And I think I may try to make Kassie  myself do the alterations all by herself myself. Can you even wait for it? For I cannot.

Exhibit #3

Why this is what a positive pregnancy test looks like if you let the battery run out before you take its picture! Bam! Pastrami! The breast of turkey! I did it! Alls I had to do was ramble on and on for a few photographs! Yes world (I think really only my family reads this who already knows, but you know, it's the obligatory post) we are procreating here on the east coast. What fun! Really, it's all kinda weird to me (the being pregnant part, not the procreating part). After much deliberation, Dan and I decided to keep the baby, HA! That's our joke. Is it too off colour? I still don't know and perhaps it really depends on the audience. I actually have a few other ones and I will slowly share them, but I have to keep ya'll coming back for something.

10 woot-woots!:

That car is completely outrageous!! You know what they say in Texas "go big or go home"...not really sure if they say that but it sounds fitting!! Love your boots and especially love that you and Dan are procreating :)

HUZZAH! The world needs a little more Patience (how's that for a NOT off-color joke?).

Being from Texas, I've seen trucks with horns before - but with the wheels and the doors, too - that's a pretty impressive truck. And I think that if he had seen you taking pictures he probably would have offered to pose for you with one hand on his enormous belt buckle.
