Christmas Present

Well folks, The Christmas is done! I hope all your wildest dreams came true like mine did. If not, you obviously need a better husband, but you can't have mine.

Lets see here... I thought I would start with the Eve of Christmas. We were going to have a quiet day at home wherein Dan was going to continue work on his Thesis and I was going to go about my merry way, but instead we went to a Redskins NFL game. No biggie. Some friends of ours had some tickets + parking pass that they couldn't use and they knew we were sticking around so passed them on to us. It was super fun and I highly recommend an NFL game to anyone, even someone like me who doesn't really know much about the footballs.

That evening we had a traditional Christmas Eve dinner of my MIL's lasagna, bread, salad and sauteed spinach (1st annual, actually) and invited some friends over. Against my better judgment I did not pack that thing full of the vegetables but kept the blessed lasagna unadulterated- meat, cheese, noodles. And behold it was good (lots of veggies on the side). We played some Ticket to Ride and Dan almost won - it was my worst game ever though.

Santa came that night. Because of the tender state of my midsection I kept waking up all the live long night to switch from my left side to my right side, and every time I turned over I just wanted to get out there and open my presents! I think I am worse than our unborn child. So here is what Christmas looked like for us:

our mini stockings made it so we had to wrap the stuffers

Here we open some gifts. Dan nearly gave up cause this one had so much tape on it (he was glad he didn't though), and I couldn't get over how sweetly Dan tried to make pretty ribbon bows. That boy!

The big cheese of presents was most definitely the custom t-shirt that I made up for Dan Dan. Because of his current studies and his internship, I just couldn't help myself- and it was a winner! He loves it.

i am so clever, aren't i?

And also, we had the pleasure of having Christmas dinner with The Greer's and here was our contribution, a white cake with chocolate butter cream complete with a snowflake from our tree:

So Merry Christmas and Ho Ho Ho, we hope you had one as nice as we did.

XOXO

that's really cool how you got to go to that football game. I'm more of an Oakland Raiders fan myself. Glad you had such a great christmas.
