Fun Times

Right before we rang in the New Year I was able to take in an exhibit at the National Archives that I have wanted to see since August- but you know, parking in DC is a B, so I avoided it for awhile. I am so glad I went! It was about the governments influence on the American Diet. Here are some of my favorite contraband iphone photos just for you!

And my personal favorite thing that I learned about was about this gentleman and his 'crimes against butter'. Can you read the caption okay?

In case you can't read it, this dude served 2 years in the state penitentiary for trying to bootleg margarine. The government was trying to protect Dairy Farmers by taxing margarine up the whazoo and this guy got caught trying to sell some on the DL. Too funny. I think if I ever went to jail I would want it to be for 'crimes against butter' as well.
