I really don't know why this baby boy has not been born yet. Well, I guess his due date is still 24 hours away so maybe that is why. Dan and I were just admonishing him to come out right now young man and meet us because we are really nice and we think he'll really like us. If not, well, like it or lump it (as my mother would say)!
This is Serinda's advice to me as to what to do while waiting for a baby to be born (her second baby was 8 days overdue, so she knows):
- Go to a movie that is not animated, and be happy that you do not have to fork out an extra 20 bucks for a bbsitter
- Take a shower. With no one in the bathroom.
- Go pee, again, with no one else in the bathroom.
- Go poo. And be happy that the thought of it does not terrify you.
- Eat a whole meal that is still hot.
- Cudddle up with Dan, and be happy that there is no milk leaking all over him.
- Read the pregnant chicken blog, and rants from mommyland blog. Very hilarious!
And I have already completed it. Now I'm bored. And you know, I go for walks to try and bring this event to pass, but walking so much hurts all my ligaments and does not bring on even the hicks so I think I'm hooped. Oh well. I guess, like everything else, I am just going to have to have some Patience. Blah. Today would be the nicest of early spring days to have a baby on though. Not quite as good as having a baby on Pi day (for obvious reasons), but probably second best. The popcorn trees are in bloom, sun is shining, the daffodils are yellow, and the birdies are chirping! Perfect day for a baby (it is suppose to rain tomorrow so lets get this done tonight, kid).
A good friend of mine swears that 1-2 hours of nipple stimulation will bring on labor. Probably don't call me for the next little while.
2 woot-woots!:
ahh good luck!
henry was almost a week late and we tried everything. everything. twice.
i think the thing that got it started was having my membranes swept by the midwife. TMI? :)
so EXCITED FOR YOU GUYS!!
serinda's list is the best thing I have ever read! hahahahaha
