Monday Night

Summer's over.... we are in mourning over here. We had a really great one and now I can't decide what kind of foot wear this little stinker needs for fall and winter. A sturdy pair of sneakers and some boots? But I really don't think he needs boots here for Virginia's wussy winter, but then you never know. But maybe he needs boots because he is actually a Virginian so maybe he will be more tender when it comes to these winters? Why am I talking about such senseless things. I don't know. And why have I not been blogging much. I also don't know, but I have a suspicion.

I enjoy blogs. The big ones, the little ones, the in-betweeners - I have really appreciated the entertainment, the voyeurism, the pretend Internet people who I just know would want to be my friend if they knew me and so on. But, I also have this bad habit of reading all the criticism about the more popular blogs that I like to read. I guess you know your little life has made it big once people start hatin'? I am drawn to bloggers who are in similar life stages as myself and then I read all the hate and them I think why blog? All these haters have some decent opinions and then I feel like my life is boring and deficient. It's like second hand hate and now I just don't feel like blogging about all of it because maybe it is senseless. I gotta shake this funk because I do know that I really enjoy looking back at previous posts and putting together the past year or so, no the past 6 (!) years of my life, through my blog. I think the powers from On High just gave me some gumption to keep going! Yea, even as I type! Maybe I just had to let my fingers do some talking. Just type talk it out, yo.

And now, I present to the universe, I would like funny things to happen so I can report them here. So I can remember the things that happen that make me smile. Especially if they are of the ribald variety.

Completely unrelated is my thought on toddlers and green smoothies. Yes, they keep the bowels of a toddler healthy and they make stool soft and give ease in the passing thereof. But they often result in up to FIVE mushy, stinky, toddler sh*ts per day. Not every day, typically 2-3, but if I'm not careful and put too much fiber in, watch out. I'm rethinking this practice, but if you have a backed up kid come on over friend.
