29 April 2010

Hello hello hello. Is anybody out there? Perhaps I should blog a post more. Perhaps. Well, we have had a nice few weeks here, under the sea in the cold. Let me see. April began with a most wonderful Easter celebration with my sister, her Keith, and her 2 little girls. We had a quaint time, celebrating with a Safeway roasted chicken and all the trimmings. My favorite part was the butterfly room at the Zoo. Although, I must admit that the cocoons are kind of creepy in a sexual kind of way. Eww.

What else, me mom came by for a visit the weekend after that. We had another grand time. Dan had to work, but he suggested we see The Ghost Writer. Mother was so impressed with Dan's movie recommendations. "Oh, that Dan! He sure knows how to pick a movie!" It was cute to see how impressed she was.

A side note - today I laughed and laughed at work. Ha ha ha. I laugh just thinking about it right now. My dear friend and confidant Coco used to work with me. Now she does not. Now she is working for a doctor who takes care of genital warts all day long. Gross. Anyways, I had a few minutes today, so I found out her work phone number and called her. I could tell it was Coco who answered the phone, so because I am a mature 27 year old woman, I proceeded to make fart noises into the receiver until I could hold my laughs no longer. She started laughing and so the fun continued. I kill myself sometimes. Honestly!

What else. Right- we had a lovely power trip to the land of the saints and Zion last weekend for my new brothers wedding. It was beautiful. Just beautiful. I was jealous of the bride the whole time. I want to be the bride again! I guess I only get to do it once. Le sigh. Katherine was beautiful. I especially loved how she did her hair. She has the gorgeous dark hair and she wore it in loose curls. Took my breath away. We got to stay at Eve's which was awesome (thanks so much!!) and I got the most wonderful of workout shorts at Target. They are perfect, everything I have ever wanted out of workout shorts. I also enjoyed 2 meals of Le Cafe Rio. Hot dog, it was wonderful. Just how I remembered it.

The sister Nunu is s-i-c-k, therefore, she is staying with us. She is currently all snuggled up on my air mattress, with all my mismatched bedding piled on top of her as she is v. cold, wearing 2 pairs of pj pants to help keep her warm, a hoodie, and my toque. I just forced her to replenish her electrolytes as per Dr. Dad. Dan thought all day that he was going to start barfing because Nunu is sick so he probably is too. Good thing, he is not sick (yet) and neither am I. No barfing yet babe :). Dan hates to barf.

Yesterday I was trying on the caa-utest cropped pants at BR and the customer in the fitting room next to me was an unmentionable character who was a ##%$& to my little sister. What luck, eh? Well, Dan and I brought her name up loud and clear in conversation so that he knows, he just can't waltz around this city without people knowing what a ##%$& he is. Ha! I kept trying to give him the stink eye and who knows what else, but he would not look me in the eye. Chicken fart.

Here is a note from 7 year old Dan to his Dad (we went through some of his stuff his Mom saved for him):

Dad-
Why did you lie?
Mom said I could have
a sandwich and you say
no!
What do you have
to say for yourself?
Dan

Ha ha ha! Isn't little Dan cute? We also looked at some pictures from when Dan and all his brothers were little boys, and holy cow! They all look like little Caden's running around! That is my nephew. Jana, it is so crazy how alike they look to little Caden!

Well, I think that is about it. Just working and plugging away at immigration. Did you know I had to get a police check from Thailand? It's true. That was lots of work. I had to send all my vitals half way around the world. I said a prayer for the Good Lord to guide them there safely on the wings of an angel so that I don't have to spend the next 20 years recreating my identity. Haven't heard back from them yet, so, paaalease, keep your fingers crossed with mine.

I will let Dan edit this now.

Dan: It's all good, babe.

2 woot-woots!:
