Count Your Blessings

Ahhh! There is much reason to rejoice this Thursday of all Thursday evenings. Not only is it Thursday which means it is almost Friday so you can stay up late, but, my police check from Thailand has arrived. Rejoice, Rejoice, Emmanuel! And it did, thank you very much for your prayers, arrive on the wings of angels guided by the sweet Lord. I know this for a fact. See, the woman at the very disheveled Thai Consulate called me and left a message in her fast talker kind of way informing me that my police check had arrived. When I got there, she told me that 2 people who filed their papers for a police checks weeks before I had filed mine still did not have theirs! As I heard that, I just knew the angels were involved. Those sweet sweet angels.

Another reason to rejoice: the greatness that is the record keeping ability of my people. Did you know that I lived at six different addresses whilst at my Alma Mater? I did not even know that until this evening when I had to spend time thinking about it. BYU Records, gosh! You guys were taught by the prophets of old, I am sure of it. Never before in the history of Universities, has a University been as well organized as BYU. I think I knew 3 of the 6 addresses and your office came through for the other 3. Seriously. 6 years after the fact. Even Father Mormon would be proud.

And the third reason- I am blogging to you from the love seat as I digest my meal of 100% homemade deliciousness. Dear Bunny made us curry paste from scratch! She is so amazing. And then, she turned it into a meal! She also made us some dirty cookies (yum!) and Nunu made homemade strawberry shortcake. Rejoice, Rejoice, Emmanuel! And then if my day couldn't get any better, my very healthiest of sisters told me something that almost made me shed a tear. She prefers to eat white rice! Rejoice! The healthiest of healthiest tells me great things.

See, count your blessings and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.
