4 Weeks older and wiser too!

What a weekend. Saturday was good- sleeping baby, eating baby, awake time baby. We even did some errands and the baby did fine. But Sunday. Man oh man. My poor child. I keep thinking he has really bad gas, but who knows. He would barely sleep during the day, instead he just wanted to cry bloody murder. I felt so bad for him and pulled out all the tricks in my bag and then all the tricks in the internets bag but to no avail. Finally poor baby Jude fell asleep around 10pm. I may have cried bloody murder all day long as well- it was all kind of a haze.

Today is a new day though with no mistakes. Isn't that how Miss Stacey likes to put it? He is already doing better, me too, and I have already eaten a sizable amount of food! Win win.

Anyways, yesterday it dawned on me that I now have someone to honor me! As the poor babe was wailing away I would say, 'Jude, stop crying, honor me!'. Turns out he is not that good at honoring his mother and father quite yet- I'll have him keep working on it. My best guess as to his activities yesterday is a growth spurt? Who knows cause he won't tell me but he sure is cute.

And there he is, in all of his just over 10lbs glory at 4 weeks! I had Dan step on and off the scale yesterday with and without Jude. Our baby's growing up so fast! His legs aren't nearly as froggy and boy is getting an adorable double chin. These days are full of fleeting moments that melt my heart- sometimes literally but mostly figuratively. We Just love our baby Jude.

you should try cutting dairy out of your diet. Often babies can't handle it. Just a thought.

i have been off dairy for a week now, and my dr said it can take up to 2 wks for dairy to leave your system- so maybe it was that? he did better today though :)

Here's some more unsolicited advice, Have you tried wearing him in a wrap during the day? It made my girls stop the screaming.

oh poor judie and poor mama. screaming babies at night are one thing, but during the day - madness! i cut out dairy, gluten, and corn because i'd heard all of those things can cause baby to be upset. it turned out to be dairy and i phased it back in around 4 months and he was fine. also, be careful of soy - can have the same effect as dairy on some babies.
also also, have you watched happiest baby on the block? the 5 s's are KEY! totally worked for us anyway. Henry wanted to still be in the womb till about 2 months.
