I only talk about my baby on this blog now, but that's okay, he has kind of taken over my life for the time being. And rightly so, he is only 26 days old. Holy Cow! I have a 26 day old. Ha, I think it sounds funny to chart his life in days, indulge me. Please.

I learned some good lessons this week, would you like to learn too? I just know you do.

  • Never, under any circumstance, ever, ever, even if tempted, give your infant a dose of Gripe Water after he has had a full meal (we have a gassy little boy here, poor thing). Don't ever do it. It will result in the precious breast milk he worked so hard to extract ending up anywhere but in his tummy. Coming out of his mouth, his nose- it ain't pretty and will scare you half to death.  Always consult the internet doctors first who will tell you to give them half at the beginning of a feeding and the other half during the middle of a feeding. Amen.

  • If your sweet little baby needs a white noise maker like mine does, you should always put it on the ocean sound. Why? Hello, Mexico vacation! At least that is what it sounds like in my 400 square feet on a daily basis and it is pretty wonderful. Now someone make me a margarita! And who brought the crying baby?

  • As a new mother, always remember to brush your teeth first thing in the morning. Put the baby down, he'll be fine for two and a half minutes. Just do it. Or you may find yourself wondering why on earth your teeth feel so hairy at 10 pm. The baby will be just fine for two and a half gee dee minutes.

And that is the long and short of it people. Also, this just in, Dan landed an awesome job and he starts after graduation. Oh yeah.

Lest we forget our little sweet pea...

DEAR GOD Patience, I thought the pacifier pic was your boob with a really stretched out nipple. I cannot get the image out of my head.
