no title

Why good afternoon my friends. First off- the happiest of birthdays to my baby niece Leia! She was born just after midnight and her birth story is straight up CRAZY and amazing. It is not mine to tell, so be looking for it on Serinda's blog as soon as she musters up the time and energy to do so. All you birth story lovers are in for a grand treat!

I've been walking around the house today taking care of the baby in the weepiest of fashions. I keep saying "Jude, you were born too! Just four and a half months ago!... oh I love you so much! Your birth was amazing..." through my tears. Seriously, I am such a boob or maybe it is the incredible lack of sleep talking through my waterworks. I mean, I love the kid to bits but even yesterday, when my excuse was not a new baby niece being born, a wonderful lady at church asked me how he was sleeping and I just started to cry. Boob! And I have not told even Dan this yet. Why is it that it feels so safe on the internet? Maybe because I really don't think that anybody is reading this. Yes. That is why. I'll spare you the details of Jude's night time sleep because it will turn you into a boob too. The most important thing is Leia! Niece! Baby! We are very excited.

That's Jude and yours truly from earlier today. I was celebrating No Makeup Monday. Actually, I celebrate that all week long, yo! And Jude is celebrating chubby cheeks and looking like his father more and more each day. Let me tell you a little more about Jude. The dude is going mobile! He is rolling like crazy as of today. He rolled his little body around a few times in Canada, and then a couple of times once we got home. But today! That boy is steamrolling the kitchen floor!

For the record, his 4 month stats:

Height: 26 inches (75%)
Weight: 14 lbs (25-50%)
Head: I forget (90%)

He is long and lean, just like the jeans. And we love him so much.

Also, for the record, we had our friends over for dinner yesterday and Dan helped with the prep. However, he had a little mix-up in the teaspoon/tablespoon department and long story short, we basically had a heaping pile of salt for dinner. It was so funny. A little bit of a shame because I was really looking forward to dinner but sometimes the humor wins like it did last night. Poor Dan. He felt so bad. And we all laughed at him. At first he told me I couldn't blog about it, but then he gave in.

There is Jude again, enjoying some calamari. Already he has fancy taste, just like his mother! I'm so proud.

Well, I better get going. I have the four month sleep regression to look forward to this evening, can't wait!

I love that last photo where the lil stinker is smiling! Also, confusing teaspoons for a tablespoon is a rookie mistake that everyone must learn once. That's so funny, I kinda wish I was there for that meal.

calamari! i die. you are the funniest. jude is lucky to have you.

the 4 month sleep regression. ugh. i thought it would be the end of me, or my marriage. we would take turns staying up with him because he would wake up at least 5 times a night and cry and cry and then sometimes want to play at 3am. hello? no. not okay! anyway, it will end and then he will do something cute and you will feel so grateful for your 4 hours of straight sleep, like you have never had it before in your life.

Why did Eve show up as Benevolus? Is there another Eve? Also... Jude looks significantly chubbier than he did in July. He is obviously growing fast, which would explain needing to eat all night long. Next time just have a girl, they seem to grow at a more moderate pace.
