IT'S SEPTEMBER!

Photobucket

Before we get to the pictures of the baby we need to take a minute and enjoy last nights dinner one more time. Mmmmm hmmmmm. I made a simple ricotta and spinach stuffed shell with this easy tomato sauce.  We have lots of leftovers which Dan is especially happy about cause pasta is his favorite. Dan is sweet about the food I make. He without fail always tells me he likes my new experiments, with gusto even, but I can tell Dan. I know when you don't like them even though you say you do. All I have to do is remember the tone of his voice when he compliments a pasta dish and use that as my comparison when he says he likes something that I know he probably doesn't. A good husband though. And yes, I do most of the cooking (Dan has a few meals up his sleeve) and Dan does most of the clean up. It's our system and it works really well for us. I really love to cook and bake while it's not Dan's favorite, but he does love things neat, tidy, and clean so the trade off is pretty fair. And let me tell you, I love cooking without abandon. Oh, I need to dirty another pot? What's that, I need another spoon? Don't mind if I do, Dan!

Now for some Jude overload. Please enjoy him as much as we do.

He is a pretty long and lean baby, but this here is to prove that he does have some chub-a-chub-chub. And I love it!

Fresh out of the kitchen sink (that Dan washes after he's done clean-up). Jude loves to examine his towel and then typically proceeds to chew it.

This blanket was Dan's when he was a little baby. He named it 'blue flower blanket', and so it shall be.

I haven't much to say about this photo except I love his expression. He is such a sweet little boy.

So that's what things are like chez nous these days. I cook wonderful food, Dan does wonderful clean up, and Jude is wonderful. Everything else in between can be a little hit and miss. Oh! Jude cut his first tooth last Sunday. It hurt him a lot. Our all smiles baby who only cries when he is falling asleep has been wearing his cranky pampers. I think the teething is continuing as he is a crank today too. Poor thing. Also, my poor nipples.
