Hey friends. How is the middle of your week? Ours... good except I think Jude is sick. I'm saying 'I think' because it just started and maybe it will go away. Magically. Like when he wakes up in the morning. I'll let you know, I'm sure.

Just a little golden nugget picture of Jude with his grandparents, my in laws. They are kind of the best. They came here all the way from far away for Jude's birthday and a quick visit. My parents didn't even call on his birthday or send a card or anything. Divorce is kind of the worst. The kids lose the most in divorce and now it spills to grandkids. How do you honor parents like that? I don't even know. Because Jude's grandparents (on my side) are MIA due to whatever it is they tell themselves it is, and we live thousands of miles away from any family, I find myself stopping and chatting with anyone that waves at my kid or gives him even a second of attention. I was with some girlfriends a few weeks ago and they talked about how it makes them nervous when 'questionable' people approach their children and maybe I have something to learn from them. Cause I'm always stopping when that weirdo wants to tell me how adorable and friendly my kid is. I just can't help it. Especially when they look like grandparents. I've had many Costco food court encounters with (mostly) harmless elderly people who I like to think miss their grandkids because they live far away. Hopefully I don't get any true crazies or else I'm going to have to start working on my own Stranger Danger.

Okay, there, that's it. I'll stop with the sad stuff. After all, I do love the funny stuff the most. I kept sitting down trying to write out blog posts but all I could think about was the lack of attention my baby gets from my parents and how much it sucks and hurts. Moving on!
