For the Birds

I know, birdie, I don't blog enough. I have always had problems with this and keep trying to do better but in the end I just don't. Sad. And, our comptuer crashed a few weeks ago and the stupid Mac store has not yet been able to fix! I think the answer will be a desktop as a laptop is somewhat of a luxary that is not necessarily needed at this point. This obstacle has made it even worse.

Here are some things that I have been up to lately:

Thinking of how I can fit in a great comeback 3 days after the fact. A co-worker told me the other day that she "hates skinny people" and that I am skinny. I smacked my boo-thay and said "honey, look at this!" and she still insisted on hating skinny people. What I should have said was "well, I hate fat people". I know, mean and harsh, but how different is it from what she said? It's not fair to say stuff like that. Being skinny or fat is about choices, so dear co-worker of mine, make the choices that give you the results you want. Anyways...

I want to paint my basement suite. I cannot stand living under the sea for one more mintue. I find myself singing "What would I give if I could live out of these waters? What would I pay to spend a day warm on the sand?" far far too often. This is a sign that the original baby blue I moved into needs to c-h-a-n-g-e. A nice, sandy, netural colour is on the way folks complete with an accent wall. Now, what the accent colour will be is still up for grabs. And of course this is IF (and that's a big IF) my landlord will go for it. We shall see and so shall you!

On Saturday I wanted so badly to go to Greek Fest. Birdie, if you were here I know you would have gone with me (looking back I should have just went along during the day... anyways). We had a double date planned with another couple and I was took responsibility of planning it because I knew if I didn't we would be shut up indoors somewhere on a beatiful summer evening. But of course, the other couple doesn't like "culture" and opted for my second choice, the driving range + dessert. Which was okay because I had some awesome drives despite my right shoulder being sore. What I really wanted to do though was go to Greek Fest and induldge in some baba-g, hummus, havla, and homeade pita. I was quite unhappy about the lack of cultural interest. Now I have to wait another year for the blessed white and baby blue to come back to me.

And I got my hair cut. It is pretty cute. If I had a working home computer I would upload some pics but I don't so just imaging how cute I look. It is shoulder length, a blunt cut, super blonde with some nice low-lights. I know, not a huge change from what it was before, but I love it. Eve did such a great job and you all should get your locks chopped by her if you are in The Bay Area.

I will blog more Birdie.. I will, I will, I will!!

I just really miss you. I'm bad at keeping in touch. If I didn't blog I'm sure that everyone would assume thatI'd died due to a tragic (but tasty) swiss cheese OD.
When you write about what's going on in your cute little world it makes me feel just a little bit closer. I can almost smell the cilantro. I can feel the pre-excitement of a day on the river. I can taste the diet coke.

I would have gone to greek fest with you dear if I were up in 'ol Canada. If you were in Oklahoma we could go to a rodeo or something and cow-tipping is always an option. We don't do cool "Greek stuff" down here in the South.
