Nothing spectacular happened this week. My eyes burn though. I think it is because of the season change so I need to use more artificial tears. I have been, but not today. Burn, burn, burn.
I once again went to the Farmer's Market on my lunch break today. Like always, I see pesticide free signs and I can't help but buy. I also can't help but buy when I pass the European man selling cheese, because after all, cheese is the husbands favorite food, the dude is from the continent of cheese, and he gives good cheese tips every time I buy from him. Today's word of wisdom- keep the brie out of the fridge 8hrs before you use it, to help it ripen up a little before serving. Sold! But really, he had me at hello.
Work is work. I have this special ability to speak my mind while having it sound quite rational and logical. I think it has something to do with being a Payne girl. All my sisters seem to be able to do this, right ladies? We had a makeshift staff meeting in the lunchroom with 3 of the other employees and I just told it to my office manager. In a straight-up, respectful, and even calm manner. The other girls watched me with wide eyes and red faces, but also with a special twinkle in their eyes that said "keep going!", I just know that is what they meant, I could feel it. Not sure if all that was good or not, but I still have a job and maybe some things will get better.
Nunu always sends me random text messages. I got this little nugget today-"sometimes it makes me so mad that bunny got a cute lil bum and i got the motherload", to which I responded "tell me about it... i haul around my wide load all day long and it's hard work!".
We are going to a "Happy PieDays" party tonight to which each person/couple is to bring a pie. Well, never did get around to making said pie so looks like two $5 Little Cesar Pizza's from us! Pizza Pie in your tummy, tonight.
and ps- if you have a potatoe bar at your wedding, don't say so on the invitation. just don't. no matter how much you love a good baked one.
3 woot-woots!:
ha ha ha... although you titled this blog, "nothing spectacular",,, i think this was your funniest piece yet! hahahahahah... i want to hear more about the impromptu office meeting! Call me tomorrow please!
