TGIF-day

One of my least favorite acronyms, but there is no other way to describe how thankful I feel that it is Friday. Between the getting up, all the showering, the getting ready, eating breakfast, trying to get my butt out the door on time, and showing up at an under-staffed job- lets just say I have a v. hard time fitting in all the extras. Some how it all works though and each time the F-day comes around I am overjoyed. It doesn't always work out that great, but these days I'll take any kind of "works" I can. Dan helps. I love him.

I can't even see how people can have babies and take care of themselves! Good thing Dan is a pretty self-sufficient person. He was s-i-c-k yesterday and his phone conversation with his mom went a little something like this:

D: "Mom, I'm sick..."
Mom: (I didn't hear this part of the conversation)
D: "I need my mom to take care of me"
Mom: unheard response
P: "What!"
D: "no, no, Patience is taking great care of me"
Mom: unheard response (I can only imagine what it was)

This was all in jest, so Dan says, but it is a great example of my care abilities. Can you even imagine putting a child into that? What would its phone conversation be like I wonder, and who would it call? Ha! Dear future child, I don't think you want us yet. Have fun in heaven, stay as long as you can, it's better up there even if you don't have a body yet. As for me, I shall continue enjoying my F-day.

Hehe...men are such babies when they're sick. You'll be a great mom when it's time don't worry...just really really enjoy it before God decides that that baby needs a one-way ticket to Earth! He may not consult you before it happens!
