Sometimes things happen at work that make me want to pull my hairs out. Par example:
After seeing a senior citizen, which is the bulk of patient flow at my office...
SC:"sorry, what was your name again?"
P: (knowing full well that I did not give him my name and that I introduced myself as technician only because I did not want to have the conversation that followed) "Patience"
SC:"what was that, Patricia?"
P:" NO, P A T I E N C E" (name spoken very loud, clear, and with perfect pronounciation)
SC: "Patient??"
P: "there is no T, it is just like the virtue, P A T I E N C E"
SC:"Patient?"
P:" NO, P A T I E N C E"
SC: "Ohhhhh, Patience, well dear that is just beautiful..."
While very clearly and loudy stating my name, I think just about everyone in the office could tell that I had lost mine... my patience that is.
And sometimes things happen at work that make me laugh so hard I cry. My co-worker leaves a lot of messages on peoples messaging systems. She was leaving one for this particular hot man in which she forgot what our phone number was and had to pause for 7 seconds after she stated the first three digits and then she said "well, I'll be here, just waiting for your call..... oh, but don't call back" click. Ha ha ha. It made my day and brought my patience back.
2 woot-woots!:
